Well I did not anticipate my next blog post to be so far out although I needed to take a sabbatical to reconnect. So glad I did. So the looming question is… Did I really get a lot of reading done? The answer is yes! But I did not exhaust my list. Once the word got out that I was on a reading quest, people gave me, loaned me more books than I can remember. Many of them I had no desire to read and others were amazing!! I suffered through many book until I finally wised up and became honest with myself and the owner of the books I did not or was not enjoying. You can waste a lot of time reading something you just plainly do not enjoy. So I would stop reading and return the book immediately simply stating I did not like the book or was not enjoying the book they have obviously loved so well.
Sometimes I would read several books (3) at a time. I am kinda like a bee when reading -from one to the next never staying with one too long. However, there would be one that would hold my attention from beginning to end; like Lisa Scottoline’s Don’t Go and Save Me. Read each one in 2 days while sitting on my porch in the rain and a few times at night and always drinking my favorite coffee from my favorite mug.
